yours truly

i’m nicole, i’m 18, and i’m an alpha chi omega at UNC Chapel Hill.

i am in love with summer in general. my birthdays in july, it’s the time of year when everyone is tan, school is out, and it is just the best. i also love love love country music. i like all sorts of music and have a wide range on my itunes but country is definitely my favorite. its so fun and happy and honest.

i’m a crazy catholic. (not actually crazy, though). i’m by no means a strict follower of every bible teaching there is, but i do believe in a higher power- one that has blessed me with the life i have today. i am so lucky to live the life i live, and sometimes i have to remind myself to take a step back and be thankful for all i have.

one of the most valuable things i think i’ve ever learned from attending church each and every sunday, is the power of giving. i absolutely love to volunteer and have done so tremendously my whole life (for the past 4 years especially). i’ve earned the “mayor’s award” for the past 3 years, which recognizes those who have completed over 100 hours of community service in a year in our community. while this alone is a great honor, i can honestly say the greater honor was being able to help some of the most amazing people i have ever met in my life. thats one thing i will always emphasize- the power of giving.

we all live pretty hectic lives and can sometimes lose focus on what is important in life. i strive to be the best i can be each and every day, whilst maintaining my values and helping those around me as much as possible.

nosce te ipsum. know thyself.
